Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

Cost Management & Budgeting

• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for all project stages.
• Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Conduct cost forecasting and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Contract Administration
• Review, draft, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Administer claims, variations, and change orders in compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure timely certification of bills and payments to subcontractors and vendors.

Quantity Take-Offs and Billing

• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs).
• Verify and approve subcontractor and supplier bills in line with project milestones.
• Prepare and submit client bills, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timelines.

Tendering and Procurement Support

• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, cost proposals, and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.

Project Planning and Reporting

• Develop project schedules in coordination with the planning team.
• Provide detailed progress and cost reports to the management team.
• Analyze project performance against cost, time, and quality benchmarks.

Team Collaboration

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors to enhance team efficiency.
