Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, ensuring the smooth functioning of our applications, and troubleshooting issues efficiently. A strong ability to communicate with clients, understand their needs, and offer quick and effective resolutions is essential. The candidate should possess strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of application troubleshooting and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first and second-level support for application issues reported by clients.
Respond to client inquiries and troubleshoot issues in a timely and professional manner.
Analyze and resolve application errors, working closely with internal teams when necessary.
Collaborate with clients to gather information, replicate issues, and provide resolutions or workarounds.
Monitor application performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, ensuring they are informed of progress and outcomes.
Work with development and QA teams to report bugs and follow up on fixes.
Write and maintain documentation on issue resolution, process improvements, and known issues.
Ensure the applications comply with performance, security, and client-specific requirements.
Support the release management process by helping to test and deploy new application features.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in an Application Support role or a related position.
Strong knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues.
Experience with client communication and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with demonstrated client-handling skills.
Knowledge of scripting languages or automation tools is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal.
Strong client-handling abilities with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
