Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver enhancements and bug fixes for reported issues, customer requests and product roadmaps.
• Maintain a high standard in front-end web development using Blazor and associated technologies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to learn and contribute to existing products in a full-stack capacity.
• Produce accurate and well-written software design documents and proposals, including task breakdowns and estimates.
• Display a strong attention to detail and maintain a high delivery bandwidth under limited direction.

Duties & Accountabilities

• Report to and take direction from Product Owners and Technical Leads.
• Ensure that development best practices, documentation and coding standards are followed and enhanced where possible.
• Set an exemplary standard for junior colleagues to follow.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Assist and mentor junior colleagues, establishing and monitoring best practices.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistently high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and ideas so that performance is continually improved.
• Attending regular stand-up meetings for projects and ensuring the status and progress on all current work is always kept updated and communicated.

Necessary Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of C# / .NET with a focus on front-end development
• Masters degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of ASP.NET and Blazor
• Very good knowledge of client-side JavaScript
• Very good knowledge of developing and consuming REST API’s
• Good knowledge of OAuth 2.0
• Good knowledge of security in web development
• Good knowledge of relational databases
• .NET Framework, Core, Standard
• Telerik UI for Blazor
• NuGet
• Entity Framework Core
• Inversion of Control (IoC) / Dependency Injection (DI)
• Design Patterns

Preferred Knowledge

• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• PowerShell
