Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a RHEL + Networking Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) along with networking expertise. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and performance of our IT infrastructure. The candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide support, troubleshoot issues, and implement robust solutions that enhance our network and server environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
• Monitor system performance, performing regular updates and patches to ensure optimal security and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify and resolve network connectivity issues and server performance bottlenecks.
• Document system configurations, network setups, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Participate in capacity planning and system design discussions to improve network architecture.
• Provide on-call support and respond to incidents to minimize service downtime.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in RHEL administration and networking.
• Proficient understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and network management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in RHEL or networking (e.g., RHCE, CCNA) will be an advantage.
