Fashion Designer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with 2-3 years of experience in women's wear. The ideal candidate should have strong design skills, a deep understanding of fabrics, and expertise in creating stylish, well-fitting outfits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Create trendy yet timeless designs for gowns, maxis, and one-piece outfits based on market research and brand aesthetics.
• Sketching & CAD: Develop hand sketches and digital illustrations using software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
• Fabric Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics and trims that align with the design and comfort of the outfit.
• Sampling & Prototyping: Work with the production team to develop prototypes and ensure proper fit, style, and quality.
• Pattern Making & Draping: Provide guidance on pattern development and draping techniques to achieve the desired silhouette.
• Trend Research: Stay updated with fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands.
• Quality Control: Work closely with the checking team to ensure the final product meets Ruffleberrys high-quality standards.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with the production, marketing, and content teams for launches, photoshoots, and brand campaigns.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from a reputed institute.
• Experience: 2-3 years in designing women's western or ethnic wear.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in fashion illustration, pattern-making, and garment construction.
• Software Knowledge: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW (Preferred but not mandatory).
• Fabric Knowledge: Understanding of different fabrics, their fall, and suitability for various designs.
• Creativity & Attention to Detail: Strong sense of aesthetics, color theory, and garment detailing.
• Preferred: Experience working in a make-to-order or customization-based brand is a plus.
