Distillation Operator

Job Summary:

The Distillation Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining distillation equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality spirits. This role involves monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor distillation columns, condensers, and other related equipment.
• Adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to optimize yield and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of distillation equipment.
• Collect and test samples to ensure quality control standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch logs and process deviations.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Work collaboratively with fermentation and milling teams to ensure a smooth production process.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI (technical certification preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in distillation operations, preferably in a distillery or chemical plant.
• Strong understanding of distillation principles and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards in a distillery.
