Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) model implementation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in deploying and maintaining sophisticated credit risk models within the AWS ecosystem, specifically leveraging AWS SageMaker. You will work closely with data scientists and other engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of these models.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy Python-based credit risk models within AWS SageMaker.

- Build robust and scalable data pipelines using AWS services like S3, Redshift, and potentially AWS Glue.

- Contribute to the management of AWS infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.

- Optimize model performance and data processing workflows for efficiency and scalability.

- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, compliance experts, and other engineers.

- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements, particularly concerning data privacy and access control (AWS IAM).

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions and processes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to model implementation and data infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 9+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

- Extensive hands-on experience implementing Python models in AWS SageMaker.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming.

- Expertise in working with AWS services, including S3 and Redshift.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices.

- Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines.

Nice to Have Skills :

- Experience implementing credit risk models.

- Familiarity with AWS Glue for ETL processes.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.

- Knowledge of other data engineering tools, platforms, and approaches.

- Proficiency in managing AWS IAM for access control.
