Job Description
- The specialist should have a post-graduate degree in engineering, public or business. administration or the equivalent and have at least 15 years in a management position with a DRM (Disaster Risk Management) agency and/or as a management consultant to DRM agencies with a primary focus on flood disaster risk management. The specialist is expected to be. available as required with around 15 day / months. (PMTC - TOR is enclosed)
Roles Responsibilities: -
Your tasks and responsibilities shall include the following but not limited to:
- Support ASDMA in conceptualizing and monitoring of various studies conducted by different consultant.
- Multi Hazard risk financing study
- Post disaster needs assessment study.
- Developing a Sheltering Strategy for Assam.
- Technical support to various procurements within the ASDMA, with a specific focus on the CQRT and CRV initiatives and support in supervision of the implementation activities
- Support ASDMA in developing a new EOC with state-of-art technology that cover all relevant hazards, including and especially flood and weather-related hazards.
- Support ASDMA in implementation of cell broadcasting system
What you bring
- Post-graduate degree in engineering, public administration, business administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years in a management position within a DRM agency.
- Experience as a management consultant to DRM agencies, with a focus on flood disaster risk management.
- The specialist should be available as required, with approximately 8 months of total input anticipated.
