Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models for marketing automation. Your expertise will drive the creation of propensity models, customer segmentation, product recommendation engines, and customer lifetime value (LTV) models. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and implement a scalable, data-driven marketing platform while mentoring and guiding the team to success.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development Implementation:
- Design and develop predictive models to drive marketing automation, including propensity models, customer segmentation, product recommendation, and LTV calculation.
- Leverage advanced Machine Learning and statistical techniques to derive actionable insights from customer data.
- Ensure model robustness, accuracy, and scalability by applying best practices in data science.
- Platform Architecture Leadership:
- Lead the architecture and development of a data-driven marketing automation platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and ease of use for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ML models within a larger platform and production environment.
- Define and drive the data science roadmap for marketing automation in alignment with business objectives.
- Data Management Integration:
- Integrate data from multiple sources and design data pipelines to support machine learning models.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build ETL processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Implement data strategies for optimal storage and retrieval for analytical and operational needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Define the project roadmap, including milestones, deliverables, and timelines.Work closely with marketing, product, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Team Leadership Mentorship:
- Guide junior data scientists and analysts, providing mentorship in best practices for model development, coding, and project management.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes learning, innovation, and growth.
- Performance tracking Optimization:
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve models to adapt to changing business needs and customer behavior.
- Implement tracking and monitoring mechanisms to provide insights into model effectiveness and drive iterative improvements.
- Bachelors or Master s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science with a focus on marketing automation, customer insights, and product recommendation systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Skilled in SQL and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and MLOps is highly desirable.
- Proven experience building and deploying Machine Learning models, including propensity models, customer segmentation, recommendation engines, and LTV calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to the development of a scalable marketing automation platform.
- Experience in leading data science projects and mentoring team members, with a strong ability to manage timelines, architecture decisions, and roadmaps.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical modeling.
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot) and CRM integration.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- This role requires significant overlap with CST time zone to ensure real-time collaboration with the team and stakeholders based in the U.S. Flexibility is key, and applicants should be available for meetings and work during U.S. business hours.
