Sql Server Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SQL Server Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database development, performance optimization, and a deep understanding of SQL Server. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Development:
   
   
• Design and develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  
• Create and maintain database schema, tables, indexes, and relationships.
  

1. Performance Optimization:
   
   
• Analyze query performance and recommend optimizations.
  
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  
• Implement indexing strategies and optimize existing database structures.
  
2. Database Maintenance:
   
   
• Monitor database health and performance.
  
• Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
  
• Maintain data integrity, consistency, and security.
  
3. ETL Development:
   
   
• Design, develop, and manage ETL processes using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  
• Transform and load data from various sources into the database.
  
4. Collaboration:
   
   
• Work closely with application developers to optimize database interactions.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into database solutions.
  
5. Reporting and Analytics:
   
   
• Create and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools.
  
• Provide data insights to support decision-making.
  

Required Skills:

• Proficient in T-SQL development and query optimization.
  
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  
• Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization.
  
• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS and reporting tools like SSRS or Power BI.
  
• Familiarity with SQL Server versions [specify relevant versions].
  
• Knowledge of performance tuning techniques, including indexing and execution plans.
  
• Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery operations.
  
• Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based SQL services (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
  
• Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  
• Familiarity with programming languages like C#, Python, or Java for application-database integration.
  
• Certification in SQL Server or database administration.
