Asst. Manager - Technical Documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizational responsibility for the local Technical Documentation team
• Manage local team, conduct performance reviews and appraisals for local team members
• Ensure KPIs are met for the team and focus on employee retention
• Make hiring decisions (aligned with head of dept. & local HR) for open positions & introduce new team members
• Assignment of project management, project collaboration and other tasks in the team
• Checking the status of ongoing projects with the project managers (deadlines, milestones, quality, resources) and coordinating necessary measures
• Responsible for activities related to on-time deliveries of customer's documentation: Files (SPC, OM, IM) and hard copies(production sites only)
• Ensure availability of OM and IM of assigned products in standard and additional (on demand) languages.
• Ensure readiness of Universal and Customer specific SPCs of assigned products

Key Requirements:

• Good command over English language
• Quick perception of project issues
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
• Staying focused in stressful situations
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
• Technical understanding is highly preferable
• Knowledge of SAP is and added advantage
• Knowledge of CMS or XML applications (XMetaL, SCHEMA ST4), knowledge of HTML, Adobe products is an added advantage.
