Cost accountant

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare assets, liabilities, and capital account entries by collecting and analyzing accounting information.
• Prepare the Accounting Journals, other than the journals auto-generated by the accounting submodules and prepare the general journals required to balance them, if required.
• Control of inventories and Fixed Assets; implementation of the modules and registration of movements such as depreciation and accounting entries and exits,
• Implementation of the automation of the Payroll Journal to be received by SAGE directly from the Payroll System.
• Post after reviewing the journal entry
• Document financial transactions by recording accounting information.
• Upload to the ERP all the documentation that supports the transaction and the required authorizations: Spreadsheets, invoices, receipts, annexes, etc. Authorizations come by email.
• Execute bank reconciliations in SAGE
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Reclassifications, adjustments, interpretation using GAAP, IFRS, Mexican Standards and corporate practices
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Follow-up to Cash Requests (CR)
• Supervision through the different CR stages: Preparation of the CR, creation of the Bank Transfer, Obtaining the funds and issuing the payment to the final supplier.
• Sustain financial transactions with audit trail documentation.
• Review of concepts, values, calculations, taxes; reasonableness of the description and retentions
• Prepare monthly, bimonthly and other statements on tax and social benefit issues.
• Prepare a calendar of information requirements for accounting firms; two, one for MCUSA Tooling and one for W Assets.
• Prepare a matrix of G/L accounts used in SAGE and by accountants
• Compare the balances accumulated by the accountants and validate the differences,
• Analyze the root cause of accounting variations and make the necessary adjustments to reduce differences between records
