Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the sales and marketing operations of the company. This role involves managing the sales team, optimizing sales processes, driving business growth, and enhancing the company's brand presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Duties:

  • Field Supervision:
  • Monitor and ensure that all sales team members, including Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), Assistant Sales Managers (ASMs), and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), are consistently in the field and adhering to their schedules daily.
  • Quotation Management:
  • Verify that quotation requests from the sales team are processed by the coordinator and promptly received by customers.
  • Daily Reporting:
  • Prepare and deliver end-of-day reports (both verbal and email) detailing order bookings, expected payments for the following day, and other relevant sales data.
  • Enquiry Follow-ups:
  • Oversee the follow-up process for online and offline inquiries received through platforms like India Mart and Trade India, ensuring that feedback is updated in the respective reports.
  • Hot Enquiries Management:
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential inquiries. Work closely with ASMs and RSMs to monitor the status of these inquiries and provide support by visiting customers to close orders.
  • Brand Promotion:
  • Implement and leverage various brand promotion channels to enhance the companys brand value and visibility in the market.
  • Dealer Network Management:
  • Focus on expanding the dealer network and retaining existing dealers. Address and resolve dealer issues to enhance their confidence in the company.

Periodical Duties:

  • Travel Bill Verification:
  • Review and approve travel bills submitted by the sales team, after verification by the sales coordinator.
  • Sales Commitments Monitoring:
  • Review weekly and monthly order booking details and payment collection commitments from the sales team to ensure targets and commitments are met.
  • Production Plan Validation:
  • Validate production plans, attend monthly production meetings, and update the coordinator on any changes or new commitments/orders.
  • Dispatch Follow-ups:
  • Coordinate with the commercial coordinator to ensure the timely release of balance payments related to dispatches.

Occasional Duties:

  • Exhibition Engagement:
  • Mobilize millers in their territories to visit the company’s stall during exhibitions to generate inquiries.
  • Company Representation:
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and other industry events as required.
  • Exhibition Strategy:
  • Propose and evaluate opportunities to participate in significant exhibitions, including planning and budgeting for stalls.

Responsibility:

  • Market Research and Product Expansion:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to assess customer needs and explore opportunities for selling ancillary products to drive increased sales and turnover for the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • B- Tech (Mechanical) and MBA- Marketing
  • Proven experience in a senior Sales and Marketing role
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Age: 35 to 45 Years

Work Environment:

  • This role requires regular field visits and travel to meet clients, attend exhibitions, and oversee sales team activities.
