Sr. Accounts Manager

Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the companys financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This individual will work closely with senior management to help analyze financial data, manage month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial performance to management.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.

Accounting Operations:

• Oversee general ledger activities, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation and review of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze and compare budget versus actual performance, providing detailed variance analysis.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Assist in preparation for tax audits and liaise with external auditors.

Internal Controls:

• Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Recommend improvements to internal processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes.
• Support automation initiatives and system improvements related to accounting functions.

Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Assist with training new hires and developing accounting skills within the team.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
