JOB Description: DevOps Engineer with .NET Core

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in .NET Core. As an integral member of our technology team, you will play a vital role in managing development operations and production environments. Your responsibilities will involve closely collaborating with developers, supporting their needs, and executing delivery tasks. In addition, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining continuous build/integration infrastructure, emphasizing quality control and test automation in an Agile-based Continuous Integration environment.

Must-Have

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, DevOps, or GitLab CI to automate the software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with the development team to optimize application code and configurations for continuous integration and delivery.
• Deploy and maintain .NET Core applications and micro services in containerized environments using Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Monitor and analyze application performance, system metrics, and logs to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Work with security teams to implement best practices for secure software development and deployment.
• Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and system maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in the software development and deployment processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, .NET Core,
• Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer working with .NET Core-based applications and services.
• Strong proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and practices to ensure application and system performance.
• Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Designing and maintaining scalable and high-performance database objects and structures following best practices and standards.
• Proactively identifying and troubleshooting slow queries, providing guidance to the team.
• Understanding the existing application infrastructure and proposing enhancements.
• Documenting and establishing best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Conducting a seamless migration of our infrastructure to a highly available and scalable setup with zero downtime.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and IT operations for maintaining an always-up, always-available service.
• Developing service capacity planning strategies.

Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with server less computing and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in .NET Core.
• Experience with Docker.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
