How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express Banking Corp. ( AEBC ) India is a banking entity regulated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) which carries out the India Card (credit cards, gift cards, prepaid cards, forex cards) and Travelers Cheques distribution business.

This position will be part of 20 member AEBC India Controllership team, which will require dotted line reporting in a matrix s environment & Job profile and mix will continue to change in order to develop the individual according to external developments, interest / demonstrated capability of individual, departmental focus, projects etc.

This is a key position in American Express Banking Corp. , India Controllership team, will report into Services Delivery Leader and assist with the following processes:

• Support Monthly Results analysis, preparation of monthly results flash, quarterly financial review deck for AEBC India and AEBC Consolidated Financials.
• Review of MJEs and monthly Business-related Operational Expense Accruals for AEBC.
• Lead monthly results review with LFO team, support preparation of materials for Board and other Compliance Committee updates.
• Support USGAAP annual Statutory Audit of AEBC Consolidated Financial Statements.
• Regulatory reporting of AEBC HQ- Quarterly Call Report, Regulatory Submissions.
• Perform regular reviews and deep dive analysis of the legal entity P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Variance analysis and business commentaries for the AEBC Committees and Senior Management.
• Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly submissions to External & Regulatory Reporting
• Interpreting critical accounting policies and resolution of accounting and reporting issues, providing accounting thought leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• The qualification required is CA, CPA or MBA finance (Premium Institute only) with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• The qualification required is CA, CPA or MBA finance (Premium Institute only) with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Financial Controllership (F&A)/Month-end Close profile
• Strong knowledge of AMEX businesses, Finance and Reporting Systems would be a preferre d.
