This Finance position in the Credit Fraud Risk Controllership (CFRC) organization will play a key role in achieving our goal to protect and assure the integrity of the AXP financial statements and proactively mitigate controllable financial risk. As part of a world-class Controllership group, the CFRC organization is responsible for managing end to end credit process from reserve adequacy assessment to the SEC and regulatory reporting. This role will be primarily responsible for leading credit reserve reporting insights for decision support. Facilitating solutions for enterprise projects, driving transformation and building advanced analytics capability leveraging Big Data (Cornerstone, Lumi), yellow bricks, SQL, TM1 and Tableau . In addition, this role would also involve accounting reporting, results analysis for AXP credit reserves, its subsidiaries and segments.
How will you make an impact in this role
Lead design and development of analytic capability and business intelligence reports
Accurate and timely reporting of credit reserves required for CECL governance
Regular co-ordination with global stakeholders to get the right level of insights to facilitate decisions
Partner collaborate with Credit Fraud Risk, Risk Finance, Model Governance team to assess record reserving for qualitative factors
Perform analytics on big data to generate insights on measure of credit metrics and drivers of performance
Gather external perspective, engage in enterprise industry benchmark to strengthen risk environment
Support change management related to continuous improvement along with overall controls governance
Partner with Business, Network and Technology teams to support platform modernization automation initiatives
Manage a team of 1-2 resources
Minimum Qualifications
Highly analytical, with ability to conceptualise data needs for decision insights
Attention to detail with a dedication to maintain and improving a strong control environment
Strong communicator; able to synthesize and communicate complex topics clearly
Techno-functional experience with OLAPs / BI tools will be a plus
Experience of leading enterprise-wide initiatives, collaboration, and building cross functional network is preferred.
Results driven, self-starter, able to lead and influence without direct authority.
Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively manage in a matrix organization.
Effective leadership skills and commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
5-7 years of advisory, risk management and accounting reporting experience
Degree in Finance, CPA /CA /MBA preferred
Prior knowledge of US GAAP accounting, SEC, and Regulatory Reporting will be an advantage
