Job Description
As a QA Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions by conducting thorough testing of APIs, .NET applications, and databases. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, bug-free software products. This is an office-going role based in Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities: - API Testing : Develop and execute test cases for RESTful APIs to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of back-end services.
- .NET Application Testing : Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on .NET applications to verify that they meet the specified requirements.
- Database Testing : Conduct comprehensive SQL Server database testing, including validation of stored procedures, data integrity, performance, and security.
- Test Strategy & Planning : Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing based on project requirements.
- Automation : Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and UI testing where applicable, using automation tools or frameworks.
- Bug Tracking & Reporting : Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (such as JIRA) and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the development team to understand system architecture and design, contributing to testability, quality, and process improvements.
- Performance & Load Testing : Execute performance and load tests to ensure the scalability and reliability of applications in a production environment.
- Test Documentation : Create detailed test documentation, including test reports, for both manual and automated tests.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to improving QA processes, methodologies, and testing frameworks to ensure higher efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience : 4+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on API testing, .NET applications, and database testing .
- API Testing : Strong experience in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman , Swagger , or similar.
- .NET Application Testing : Proficiency in testing C#/.NET applications , with a solid understanding of the .NET framework.
- Database Testing : Hands-on experience with SQL Server , including testing database queries, stored procedures, and performing data validation.
- Test Automation : Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium , SpecFlow , or similar is a plus.
- Bug Tracking & Management : Experience using bug-tracking and test management tools like JIRA , TestRail , or similar.
- Manual & Automation Testing : Strong skills in both manual and automated testing practices.
- Agile Methodology : Familiarity with Agile testing processes and workflows.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Collaboration & Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter , LoadRunner , or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation within DevOps practices.
- Exposure to cloud environments, preferably AWS , for testing cloud-based applications.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and testing methodologies.
