JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Architect with expertise in AlloyDB for PostgreSQL and Java/SpringBoot to join As an architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance database solutions, integrating AlloyDB with enterprise-level applications, and leading the development of innovative, modern solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architecture & Design : Lead the design and architecture of complex systems, focusing on database solutions powered by AlloyDB for PostgreSQL.

- Work closely with development teams to define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for AlloyDB and Java/SpringBoot applications.

- Design and implement high-performance and scalable backend systems and ensure efficient data management strategies for AlloyDB for PostgreSQL.

- Database Solutions : Design, implement, and manage AlloyDB for PostgreSQL database instances, ensuring availability, scalability, and security.

- Provide deep technical expertise on the migration from PostgreSQL to AlloyDB, including performance tuning, data replication, and optimizing queries.

- Ensure the seamless integration of AlloyDB with other applications, microservices, and APIs.

- Development & Leadership : Lead the development team in adopting best practices related to Java development, SpringBoot frameworks, and AlloyDB.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers on architecture decisions, coding standards, and problem-solving.

- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, efficiency, and maintainability.

- Collaboration : Work with product owners, stakeholders, and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and scale the solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Research & Innovation : Stay updated with the latest trends in database technologies, AlloyDB, Java, and SpringBoot, and bring innovative ideas to the table.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the performance and functionality of the systems.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- Proven experience as a solution architect or senior developer, with a strong focus on AlloyDB for PostgreSQL and Java/ SpringBoot.

- Solid experience in designing and implementing database architectures and designing cloud-native applications.

- Hands-on experience with AlloyDB for PostgreSQL, including setup, migration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Expertise in Java, SpringBoot, and other Java-related technologies (e.g., Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.).

- In-depth knowledge of SQL and database design principles, with an ability to optimize complex queries.

Technical Skills :

- Strong experience with microservices architecture and building distributed systems.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and monitoring.

- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with an ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.

- Ability to handle complex projects and lead teams effectively.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with NoSQL databases or other cloud-native database solutions.

- Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.

- Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
