Key Responsibilities:
General Property Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the private residence, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation.
- Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of the residence, including managing schedules for regular cleaning, repairs, and renovations.
- Supervise and coordinate with external contractors, such as gardeners, cleaners, and maintenance staff.
- Monitor the condition of the property, ensuring all items are cared for and protected.
Household Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise household staff (e.g., butlers, chefs, housekeepers, drivers, security personnel), ensuring that each team member performs at a high level of professionalism and efficiency.
- Create schedules and manage workloads for staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for all household needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staffing issues or challenges promptly.
Family and Guest Relations:
- Serve as the point of contact for family members, guests, and visitors, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Organize and manage events, dinners, and gatherings, ensuring flawless execution of all details, from catering to decor and entertainment.
- Handle any special requests from the family or guests, providing personalized services with the utmost discretion and attention to detail.
Security and Privacy Management:
- Ensure the residences security systems are functioning effectively, coordinating with security personnel to monitor entrances, exits, and the perimeter.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion regarding family affairs, personal matters, and daily activities.
- Work with security consultants and local authorities to ensure the safety and privacy of the family members at all times.
Financial Management:
- Manage the household budget, including tracking expenses, overseeing payments for services, and recommending cost-effective strategies.
- Provide regular financial reports to the family, ensuring transparency in the management of household expenses.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best rates for goods and services, while maintaining quality standards.
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and execute high-profile events, social gatherings, or family functions, ensuring every detail aligns with the familys preferences.
- Coordinate logistics, manage invitations, and oversee event operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Provide assistance with travel planning and arrangements for family members and their guests.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Maintain an inventory of household items, including food, beverages, linens, and household products.
- Ensure that the residence is stocked with necessary supplies at all times, and anticipate future needs.
- Oversee sourcing and purchasing of luxury items, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 8+ years of experience in a senior residential management or private household role, preferably with high-net-worth individuals or families.
- Experience in managing luxury properties or high-profile residences are a significant advantage.
Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of residence management.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing and developing household staff.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- High-level problem-solving skills, able to handle complex situations with grace and efficiency.
- Proficient in household management software, MS Office, and general technology.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
