Unifi Investment Management LLP ("UIML") is a ~100% subsidiary of UCPL. UIML is registered with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) as a Fund Management Entity (FME). UIML has launched a Category III AIF for the inbound investment for foreign & NRI investors with a Cat-I FPI license in India and is also servicing another FPI for its India-centric strategy as an advisor.
UIML is launching an outbound fund to invest in global equities listed in the US and is inviting applications for the position of research analyst. The core philosophy of Unifi is to invest in growth at a reasonable price "GARP" and the fund manager would be responsible for creating and managing the investment funds according to the fund's objectives.
Role & Responsibilities:
- The analyst will actively research and analyse global large-cap companies, focusing on their financials, business models, industry dynamics, and management quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including earnings projections. Actively monitor and track the quarterly performance of portfolio companies.
- The analyst should be capable of independently researching markets, industries, and specific companies to discover potential investment opportunities.
- The analyst should have some experience in equity research in global markets, primarily in developed Western countries and should have covered multiple sectors.
- The analyst should effectively collaborate with the investment team to communicate and discuss research findings and investment recommendations.
- Support fund manager in fund management-related activities.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical/leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Bloomberg / other equity/market data sources.
- High level of self-motivation to work and passion for equity investing.
- Strong quantitative skill set with the ability to analyse complex data.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualification:
- MBA-Finance/ CA candidates with 1-3 years of buy-side/sell-side experience in equity research on US/global equities.
- CFA candidature is an added advantage.
