Job Description: Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in software testing and automation for web, mobile, and REST API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading automation tools such as Cypress with Javascript, Katalon Studio, Playwright with C#, .NET. Also, I would like you to know that experience with REST API testing and mobile automation tools, as well as excellent coding skills, is required. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of both front-end and back-end components through automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools like Cypress with JavaScript, Playwright with C#,.NET etc.
• Implement and manage automated testing strategies for REST APIs using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous testing during the development lifecycle.
• Web and Mobile Automation: Design and implement automation frameworks for both web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing for both web and mobile applications, ensuring they meet performance benchmarks.
• Create detailed and structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
• Analyze and report the results of automated tests, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and continuously improve testing processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality products.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation for web, mobile, and REST API testing.
• Expertise in automation tools such as Cypress with JavaScript, Playwright with C#,.NET or similar.
• Strong understanding of REST API testing and tools like Katalon, Postman, RestAssured, or Swagger.
• Experience in Mobile automation using tools like Appium or Katalon Studio.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience creating and maintaining test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• CI/CD integration experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker for continuous testing and deployment.
• Excellent knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in test analysis and issue resolution.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in collaborative development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mobile Testing Experience: Expertise in mobile automation for Android and iOS platforms using Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Knowledge of BDD (Behavior Driven Development) frameworks such as Cucumber or JBehave.
• Experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like LambdaTest, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
