Mine Planning

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial

a) Business Improvement Champion - process improvements in mining plans.

b) Develop OB removal & Coal production schedule such as to optimize Strip ratios.

2. Operational

a) Develop medium & short term plans/ design including mining faces / benches, access roads/ ramps, mine sumps/ drainage, power supply arrangements and pit activities along with volume/ tonnage schedules & its business impacts as per actual site conditions & production requirement.

b) Develop medium & short term plans/ design for accommodations for mined Waste / OB including external as well as internal dumps,

c) Develop medium & short term plans/ design for pit head coal stockpiles and rehabilitated landforms.

d) Evaluate Waste / OB removal, Coal Production quantity & reconcile with survey measurements.

e) Provide ground inputs for the preparation of medium & long term plans to planning supdt.

f) Ensure that the short & medium term plans are in line with the long term plans and ultimately approved life of mine plan.

1. Customer (Operations) –

a) Ensuring timely delivery of Short / Medium term mine plans so as to eliminate possible idling of Dragline / Shovel – Dumper/ FEL operations.

1. People –

a) Work collaboratively, communicate effectively & Liaison with the site operations teams and other departments to ensure effective implementation

b) Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and zero harm
