Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Fast API, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). Additionally, experience with caching & queuing/streaming mechanisms, agile development practices, and unit testing is essential.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain backend services with Python (FastAPI)

- Design, implement, and maintain RESTfulweb services and APIs to support various front-end applications

- Write background tasks on Python for cron and data engineering use cases

- Build using cases with SQL/NoSQL databases, Redis and Kafka. Open to research and adopt new tech stack/s when needed

- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software.

- Follow agile development methodologies, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to the development process.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues in both development and production environments

- Mentoring a few juniors under them, directly and responsible for juniors work and owning success of their technical deliverables.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Proven experience and deep understanding of Python programming language, its idioms, and effective python coding practices.

- Proven experience with Fast API framework and background tasks

- Strong unit testing skills and the ability to write clean and maintainable code

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and the ability to optimize data storage and retrieval

- Strong hold on caching mechanisms, such as Redis, and their integration into applications.

- Knowledge of queuing and streaming mechanisms for asynchronous and real-time data processing.

- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, essential for writing efficient and optimized code.

- Basic understanding of system design, should be able to design simple applications with keeping reliability, availability and scalability in mind

- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good to have knowledge of Kubernetes

- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional team
