As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based architectures and solutions, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and secure.
You will play a pivotal role in advising clients on cloud strategy, migration, and optimization of Azure-based platforms.
This role demands a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and strong expertise in managing cloud platforms and services.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding developers and engineers to design and implement solutions that align with business objectives.
This is a high-impact role that requires hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure as well as experience in automation, infrastructure management, and ITIL processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure based on client requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead the design of end-to-end cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and seamless integration with existing systems.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud adoption and migration strategies for clients, focusing on cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Leverage IaC tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, and DSC to automate and manage cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Develop reusable templates and scripts to enable rapid provisioning and scaling of cloud environments.
- Ensure the effective management of cloud platforms, optimizing performance, security, and cost-efficiency in the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Lead the implementation of cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions that align with business goals.
- Continuously monitor cloud performance, identify optimization opportunities, and lead efforts to ensure cost efficiency using FinOps principles.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical discussions and lead architecture and design reviews with stakeholders.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business objectives, IT requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide thought leadership and mentor junior architects and engineers on best practices for Azure solutions, IaC, and cloud security.
- Ensure that cloud solutions comply with security best practices, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
- Provide direction on secure design, identity management, and access control to protect sensitive data in the cloud.
- Lead large-scale cloud migration projects from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.
- Oversee the deployment of cloud applications and services, working with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines and automate testing and deployment processes.
- Utilize Azure Cost Management tools to track, analyze, and optimize cloud spending.
- Implement cost control strategies, ensuring that clients adhere to their cloud budget while maintaining high service levels.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, emerging cloud technologies, and industry trends, applying them to improve architecture and solutions.
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) and experimentation initiatives to test and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Experience :
- 9-15 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, databases, security, and monitoring.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience in using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, or DSC to manage cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to design and implement reusable and scalable automation frameworks for Azure-based environments.
- Strong understanding and practical experience of the ITIL framework, including best practices for cloud service management.
- Experience in integrating cloud architecture with ITIL-based processes such as incident management, change management, and service request management.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
- Proven ability to optimize cloud solutions for performance, security, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead discussions, workshops, and technical presentations with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring and leading teams, collaborating across functions, and driving cloud adoption initiatives
