Devops Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipelines: Build, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
• Server Management: Deploy, monitor, and manage Linux servers for production, staging, and development environments.
• Web Server Optimization: Confgure and optimize Nginx for high-performance, scalable web applications.
• Application Deployment: Deploy and manage Django applications with Gunicorn for production environments.
• Automation: Write and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks and workfows.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor server performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to ensure smooth deployments and environment consistency across the stack.
• Security & Scalability: Implement security best practices for application and server infrastructure, ensuring scalability to meet future demands.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in setting up pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Linux Expertise: Strong understanding of Linux server administration.
• Web Servers: Hands-on experience with Nginx for reverse proxying and load balancing.
• Application Deployment: Knowledge of deploying Django applications with Gunicorn.
• Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows on GitHub.
• Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Basic understanding of tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for CI/CD and server-related issues
