Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with 8-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, proficiency in AWS, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Spark, Flink, Kafka and modern debugging tools like DebuggIng. This role requires a team player who is hardworking, dedicated, and willing to take ownership of complex systems and very large data sets. The candidate should be capable of supporting the team during PST time zone hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• ⁠Design, develop, and deploy advanced data pipelines and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Leverage AWS cloud services to build and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for analysis.
• ⁠Utilize Apache Spark, Flink, and other modern technologies to process and analyze large datasets efficiently.
•  ⁠Implement real-time data processing solutions using Kafka.
• Take ownership of the entire data science workflow, from data collection and processing

                development and deployment.

•  ⁠Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
•  ⁠Ensure timely support during PST hours to align with global team operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields from reputed institutions such as IIT, NITIE, VJTI, or BITS Pilani.
• Experience: 8-10 years of professional experience in data science and related fields.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to S3, EC2, Redshift, and Lambda.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Expertise in Python programming and data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Apache Flink for big data processing.
• Experience with real-time data processing and messaging systems using Kafka.
• Familiarity with modern debugging tools like DebuggItJ for troubleshooting and optimizing code.
• Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of Solr for enterprise search and indexing solutions.
• Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• High level of self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ⁠  ⁠Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• ⁠  ⁠Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
