Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring accuracy in accounting operations, and supporting day-to-day financial activities. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work with various accounting systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of entries.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage accounts receivable for collections and follow-ups.
• Tax Preparation & Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax returns, ensure compliance with tax laws, and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Payroll Support: Coordinate with HR for payroll processing, including calculations of deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, cost analysis, and forecasting financial performance.
• Internal Controls: Help maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure proper financial operations.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and supporting audit requests.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to management for decision-making, including variance analysis and cost analysis.
• Recordkeeping: Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents, maintaining both electronic and paper records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or other relevant certifications (preferred).
• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
