Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Customer Representation & Relationship Management:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, addressing quality concerns, queries, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer representatives to ensure trust and satisfaction.
- Represent the company in quality meetings, site visits, audits, and technical discussions.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Oversee quality assurance activities on customer sites, ensuring adherence to established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and verify that manufacturing processes from foundry to machining meet both internal quality benchmarks and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure consistent product quality.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead root cause analyses for any quality discrepancies or customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and quality improvement, and drive implementation projects.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, customer interactions, audit findings, and corrective action reports.
- Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to internal management and customers on quality performance, improvement initiatives, and compliance status.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and customer requirements.
Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure that all quality assurance processes comply with automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting quality in the automotive sector.
- Facilitate internal training and mentoring sessions to elevate quality standards across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:
- Bachelor s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably as a resident engineer or quality representative.
- Prior exposure to foundry and machining processes of Cylinder Head is highly desirable.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certifications such as Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, or similar automotive quality standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis, preparation of G8D reports..
- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes for aluminium cylinder heads, components, including foundry operations and machining.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Proven ability to analyze complex quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions (CAPA)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure environments.
Organizational & Project Management Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Experience in leading quality improvement projects and driving cross-functional teams.
Cultural & Operational Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel and work on customer sites as required.
- Ability to adapt to different cultural environments and work effectively with diverse teams.
