Looking to hire Campus development head for a leading educational institute in Bangalore.
Candidate should coem from Civil or MEP engineering background with large campus development experience.
The institute is consist of academic, research and social infrastructure including student and faculty housing,
It will also be India's first Long-Term Urban Ecological Observatory (LTUEO) site. In time, the unit is expected to develop a number of additional campuses in other states/cities.
These are expected to be best-in-class-in-the-world facilities over the 2025-35 horizon in their sustainability; quality of design, aesthetics and functionality; resource and life-cycle cost efficiency; resilience, security, accessibility and operational efficiency. They will bring together the most advanced future-ready infrastructure and technology, digital-enabled operations and management systems appropriate to India to create a unique teaching-learning, residential and experiential environment that will be an example to India and the world.
Their Urban Agriculture and Food Systems team is developing systems for food production
through agriculture, roof-top gardening, horticulture, apiculture, pisciculture, vermiculture, animal husbandry and floriculture on campus, for which the campus team will help build infrastructure and services.
The Campus Documentation team is producing a detailed text and multimedia curriculum for sustainable construction, water, energy, mobility, ICT and ecological services based on the experience of campus planning, design development and operations.
Play and Sports team is building out and running facilities for sports, movement and an active physical culture that will be planned, built and maintained on campus, for which the campus team will help build infrastructure and services.
The key roles envisaged for the Campus Development are:
- Strategic and operational responsibility for Campus development, including effective implementation to defined performance standards of quality, cost and time; staffing and resource allocation to deliver results;
- Development and oversight of project management and financial control and reporting systems for campus development;
- Effective communication of project goals, scope and expectations to the senior management, internal and external teams;
- Taking a leadership role in developing and maintaining productive relationships, coordination and transparency with key internal and external stakeholders, consultants, vendors and partners;
- Leading and being an effective member of cross-functional campus-related teams, working with all relevant stakeholders to refine strategy, gather and document requirements and identify potential impact in terms of results (cost, aesthetics, quality, timeliness), process/operations, technology, organisation and finances;
- Working with relevant planning and development authorities, state and national agencies for project approvals;
- Monitoring and reporting on progress and pre-emptively address bottlenecks;
- Mitigating project risks and addressing operational challenges by managing scope and change effectively along with addressing all relevant technical and safety standards;
- Providing oversight to occupational health and safety and the welfare of workers, vendors and contractors on campus;
- Systematic project closure and documentation of project planning, process and implementation.
- Candidate who has sustanability, Green building(IGBC), campus development experience can only apply.
