Manager Export & Import

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced EXIM Professional to manage the international logistics operations for our chemical trading company. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of chemicals globally, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

1) Expertise in handling contracts, Bills of Lading (B/L), invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, inspection certificates, and other critical shipping documents ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions.

2) Hands-on experience navigating complex supply chain logistics, marine law, customs procedures, and international export/import regulations. Ensure seamless cross-border movement of goods, adhering to international trade and customs laws.

3) Strong understanding of international trade compliance, including ensuring timely delivery, adherence to local and international regulations, and maintaining legal standards in the movement of goods.

4) In-depth knowledge of Letters of Credit

5) Skilled in the full spectrum of shipment management: booking, execution, tracking, and issue resolution.

7) Proficient at working with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

8) Expertise in planning and coordinating logistics for international shipments, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

9) Proven track record of resolving disputes and claims arising from shipment delays, product quality issues, or customs problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational continuity.

10) Strong negotiation skills to identify, secure, and manage relationships with global suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners, ensuring quality and competitive pricing.

11) Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and optimize sourcing strategies, while continuously evaluating supplier performance to ensure the highest quality standards.

12) Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, finance, logistics) to streamline international operations, ensuring smooth communication, effective problem-solving, and alignment with company goals.

Preferred candidate profile

1) B.Com or any other graduates

2) More than 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics, marine law, customs procedures, and export, import regulations.

3) Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and teams.

4) Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication.

5) Ability to handle customer queries and resolve shipment-related issues efficiently.
