If you have a strong background in medical records management, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient privacy, we invite you to apply.Responsibilities:Health Record Management:Ensure the accurate and timely creation, maintenance, and retrieval of patient health records.Organize and file medical documents, reports, and correspondence in accordance with established procedures.Data Entry and Coding:Enter patient information, diagnoses, and treatment codes into electronic health record systems.Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, identifying any discrepancies.Confidentiality and Compliance:Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.Stay informed about changes in healthcare laws and regulations related to medical records.Release of Information:Process requests for the release of medical records in accordance with authorization protocols.Ensure proper verification of requests and adherence to legal requirements.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with healthcare providers to address any discrepancies or missing information.Patient Communication:Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders regarding medical record requests and inquiries.Assist patients in understanding the release of information process.Record Retention and Archiving:Implement record retention policies and procedures, including archiving inactive records.Retrieve archived records when needed and manage the disposal of expired records.Training and Education:Provide training to staff on medical records management best practices and procedures.Keep staff informed about updates in electronic health record systems.
