Computer Operator

Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring:
Operate and monitor computer systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, networks, and printers.
Ensure that all scheduled tasks are performed accurately and on time.
Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to detect potential issues or errors.
Data Entry & Processing:
Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of information into databases or systems.
Verify and review data for errors or discrepancies before processing.
Generate regular reports from the system as required by management.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and troubleshoot basic technical issues with hardware, software, or network systems.
Escalate more complex problems to the IT support team or external vendors for resolution.
Backup & Maintenance:
Perform routine backups of systems and data to ensure information is preserved.
Assist in maintaining and updating software, ensuring that all systems are running the latest versions.
System Security:
Follow security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Monitor and report any security breaches or unusual activities to the IT manager.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of system activities, issues, and resolutions.
Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly system performance and status reports as required.
Support & Collaboration:
Provide support to staff and team members on system-related issues.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement system improvements and upgrades.
