Job Description
- Familiarity with the WordPress platform, including its dashboard, themes, plugins, and basic functionalities.
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS for basic website structure and styling. Understanding of how to customize WordPress themes using CSS.
- Familiarity with PHP fundamentals such as variables, functions, and control structures, to make simple modifications to WordPress themes and plugins.
- Ability to troubleshoot common WordPress issues, such as plugin conflicts, theme errors, and website performance problems.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in implementing design elements, content placement, and functionality within WordPress websites.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, understand project requirements, and convey ideas clearly.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes related to WordPress development.
- Understanding of basic SEO principles such as meta tags, keywords, and on-page optimization can be beneficial for integrating SEO best practices into WordPress websites.
- Enthusiasm for web development and a strong desire to gain hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- WordPress Development: Assist in the development and customization of WordPress websites using PHP, HTML, and CSS, following design specifications and project requirements.
- Theme and Plugin Customization: Modify existing WordPress themes and plugins or develop custom ones as needed to meet client or project objectives.
- Content Management: Update website content, including text, images, and multimedia, using the WordPress content management system (CMS) while adhering to SEO guidelines.
- Website Optimization: Implement basic SEO techniques, such as optimizing meta tags, improving site speed, and ensuring mobile responsiveness, to enhance website visibility and performance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients or end-users, troubleshoot website issues, and address maintenance tasks, such as updates and backups, to ensure website functionality and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with web designers, developers, and project managers to understand project requirements, contribute ideas, and deliver high-quality websites on time and within budget.
- Learning and Growth: Stay updated on the latest WordPress and web development trends, technologies, and best practices through self-learning, training sessions, and participation in professional development activities.
- Duration: 1-3 months
- Location: Kochi
- Compensation: Unpaid
- Working Hours: Monday-Friday (10 am to 5 pm)
