Sales Associate

Role & responsibilities

• Showcase ceramic products and their features (e.g., durability, designs, sizes, and finishes) to customers.
• Explain the advantages of different ceramic materials, such as porcelain, stoneware, and terracotta, and how they relate to customer needs.
• Upsell or cross-sell complementary products (e.g., grout, adhesives, tile cutters, or cleaning products).
• Greet and welcome customers to the store, offering assistance as needed.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements (e.g., home renovation, interior design, or construction).
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations on ceramic products (e.g., tiles, kitchenware, flooring) based on customer preferences.
• Work towards meeting or exceeding sales targets set by management.
• Report on sales performance, customer feedback, and inventory needs to supervisors.
• Assist in organizing store promotions or special events to increase foot traffic and sales.

Preferred candidate profile

• Prior experience in retail sales, preferably in home goods, construction materials, or ceramics.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, such as retail, hospitality, or sales.
• Good problem-solving skills, especially in addressing customer concerns and product inquiries.
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic computer software.
