Job Summary

The Senior Designer will lead the design team in creating innovative, commercially viable, and technically sound designs for textile products. They will be responsible for developing and implementing design strategies, managing design projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership

• Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
• Develop and implement design strategies, goals, and objectives.

2. Design Development

• Create innovative, commercially viable, and technically sound designs for textile products.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of textile design trends, technologies, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production.

3. Project Management

• Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, sourcing, and quality assurance.

4. Design Communication

• Effectively communicate design concepts, ideas, and strategies to internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain design presentation materials, including mood boards, sketches, and prototypes.

5. Trend Research and Analysis

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and industry developments.
• Apply trend research findings to inform design decisions and strategies.

6. Quality Control and Assurance

• Ensure design quality meets company standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve design-related issues.

Requirements

1. Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design.
• B Tech / B F Tech /M Tech/M F Tech from NIFT/ NID
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in textile design, with a focus on senior design roles.

2. Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in textile design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and CAD programs.
• Strong understanding of textile materials, production methods, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
