Job Summary:

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating and leading agile practices within one or more Scrum teams. You will act as a servant leader, enabling the team to work efficiently and collaboratively by removing obstacles, coaching team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your goal is to ensure that the team delivers high-quality products that meet business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that each session is productive and time-efficient.
• Remove Obstacles: Identify and resolve any impediments or roadblocks that may hinder the teams progress, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Coach the Team: Guide and mentor the Scrum team in the adoption and consistent application of Scrum principles and agile best practices.
• Foster Collaboration: Encourage open communication, collaboration, and transparency within the team, as well as with external stakeholders.
• Ensure Accountability: Help the team stay focused on their goals and commitments, ensuring that sprint objectives are met and delivering value to the business.
• Track Progress: Use metrics like burndown charts, velocity, and sprint reports to monitor progress, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Support Product Owner: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for the team.
• Promote Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives that focus on improving processes, tools, and team dynamics, encouraging a culture of continuous learning.
• Protect the Team: Shield the team from distractions and interruptions, allowing them to focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Facilitate Agile Transformation: Help drive agile transformation across the organization by promoting agile values, principles, and practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Proven experience leading Scrum teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Agile Expertise:
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks.
• Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence without authority.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on enabling teams to be self-sufficient and high-performing.
• Certifications:
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in scaling Scrum practices across multiple teams or within larger organizations (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
• Background in software development, IT, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and DevOps practices.
• Previous experience working in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
