Battery/System Validation Engineer

JOB DISCRIPTION :

• Working on pre-production development of wearables consumer products, understand the features and requirements of the internal battery and related systems.
• Based on the requirements and KPIs, design battery related test setups, test cases, and test procedures that will validate and confirm the requirements are achieved.
• Execute the designed tests cases, report results, report bugs, conduct logs analysis, and summarize finding to stakeholders.
• Proactively communicate risks, blockers, showstopper issues etc. and collaborate with cross functional teams across the globe to unblock.
• Gather knowledge about new products, features and collaborate with cross functional teams to add provisions for testing/ validation.
• Procure required fixture parts, assemble, and validate the test setup.

Work Experience

Technical Requirements

• 2 to 6 years of experience in Wearables/ Embedded devices / Consumer electronics verification and validation.
• Experience in Li-ion battery, battery management system, battery cycle testing, charge discharge testing in different scenarios, firmware testing, safety concepts, performance Testing etc.
• Experience in system level testing of embedded wearable devices, android, and iOS applications.
• Moderate programming and debugging skills in Python and ADB for executing and maintaining automated tests and data collection.
• Expertise in operating lab tools and equipment required for battery testing. (Thermal chamber, various meters etc.)
• Experience in requirement analysis and test plan and test case creation, test setup development, manual testing, bug reporting, test artifacts management etc.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor of Technology Degree in Electronics with 2+ years of applicable industry experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Can communicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Experience in technical documentation and report generation.
• Great team player.

Desirable Skills and Characteristics

• Proficiency in using MS office or google sheets for Record, analyze, present test data, document test findings and support root cause analysis.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA.
• Understand consumer products PDP from validation perspective
