Responsibilities:

Team/Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and expertise to architect, design and implement solutions for Day 1 and Day 2 cloud operations.
• Mentor and guide the team in all infrastructure related issues and provide technical training and act as advisory consultant.
• Responsible for adopting new cloud services and features for cloud operations.

Deployment Management

• Lead design and implementation of resource provisioning for development and production
• Lead automated provisioning (Infrastructure as Code) of various deployment environments (development, staging & production)
• Establish DevSecOps pipeline to meet the compliance and security requirements for the cloud solutions

Operations Management

• Lead operations of solutions deployed in customer cloud environment.
• Design optimal solutions for high availability and disaster discovery and Backup
• Ensure service reliability and meet customer SLAs.
• Lead the periodic assessment of the infra-architecture and adapt/propose latest solutions operations.
• Design and lead site reliability engineering activities for cloud infrastructures.
• Contribute to DevSecOps process development and automation tasks.

Monitoring & Observability

• Design effective monitoring and observability constructs for cloud infrastructures.
• Design and implement Application Performance monitoring
• Establish resource monitoring, notification and alerting capabilities
• Enable AIOps for cloud solutions.

Compliance & Auditing

• Recommend and design, operations, security and compliance practices.
• Enable Data Security and Data Privacy for cloud solutions
• Desing Network Security for the infrastructure.
• Enable Cloud Security Posture Management
• Establish Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) for cloud solutions

Cloud Operations Governance

• Design policies and rules for cloud governance
• Lead and automate quarterly auditing and resource usage

Cloud Financial Management

• Guide and lead cloud infrastructure cost optimization activities.

Skills:

• 10+Years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration and operations.
• 5+Years proven experience in leading teams in cloud operations.
• Strong understanding about Cloud security and Compliance
• Must have an in-depth knowledge in AWS or in any other leading cloud platform services and architecture.
• Strong understanding about the native services of the cloud platform that can be leveraged for CloudOps.
• Must have a good understanding about micro services and infrastructure correlations, also the operational challenges.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Automation and relevant tools for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, CFN etc.).
• Strong understanding about the networking constructs in cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge in cloud operational tools like Datadog, Dynatrace etc. to enable monitoring and observability.
• Strong knowledge in CSPM and SEIM.
• Should have good understanding about various controls in DevSecOps practices.
• Strong Linux systems administration skills in cloud or on-premises environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge in implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud infrastructures.
• Should have Security/DevOps/Administration specialty certifications in any of the popular cloud platforms.
