Job Summary :
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced HiL Engineer to lead the setup and execution of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems for electric vehicle lines, specifically for buses.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality system test results by leveraging their expertise in HiL methodologies, eDrive domain knowledge, and strong technical skills.
Key Responsibilities :
HiL System Setup & Commissioning :
- Lead the setup and commissioning of dSpace HiL benches, including the integration of loads, -actuators, and sensors as per vehicle architecture and test requirements.
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of all HiL components.
Test Development & Execution :
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for electric vehicle systems, covering functional, performance, and safety aspects.
- Automate test procedures using scripting languages (e., Python) to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
Data Analysis & Reporting :
- Analyze CAN, LIN, and other communication protocols to identify and troubleshoot system behavior.
- Generate detailed test reports, including data analysis, performance metrics, and defect summaries.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis :
- Investigate and diagnose hardware and software issues within the HiL environment.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship :
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
- Train team members on HiL methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Collaboration & Communication :
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e., software development, hardware design, vehicle integration) to ensure project success.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Essential :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in HiL engineering.
- Strong understanding of eDrive domain (e., motors, inverters, batteries, power electronics).
- Expertise in dSpace HiL systems, including configuration desk, Matlab/Simulink, Stateflow, and Targetlink.
- Proficiency in CAN, LIN, and other communication protocols.
- Experience in test case design, automation, and execution.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Desirable :
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (e., Jira, DOORS NXG).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e., Python).
- Experience with vehicle-level debugging and hardware implementation.
- Familiarity with IO modeling and plant model integration
