Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and architect cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to meet the organizations needs, including virtual machines, storage solutions, networks, and security configurations.
- Deployment and Automation: Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Google Deployment Manager to automate provisioning and configuration.
- Application Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on GCP, including containerized applications using Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions meet security and compliance standards, including implementing access controls, encryption, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track resource utilization, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators, to align cloud solutions with business goals.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and best practices.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services in a timely manner.
- Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, best practices, and industry trends to recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
