Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer specializing in sheet metal manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring that all sheet metal products meet the required quality standards and specifications. The Quality Engineer will work closely with production teams to monitor, evaluate, and improve quality control processes, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Control:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes for sheet metal fabrication.
• Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Use precision measurement tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and other instruments to verify product specifications.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues in the sheet metal manufacturing process.

2. Process Improvement:

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reductions without compromising product quality.
• Develop and implement corrective actions for non-conformities and product defects.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and propose long-term solutions.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports, test data, and inspection results.
• Ensure proper documentation for all inspections and certifications, including compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
• Generate regular quality performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure all products and processes comply with applicable regulatory and safety standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, and other industry-specific standards).
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the sheet metal or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (e.g., stamping, laser cutting, welding, bending).
• Proficiency in quality control techniques, measurement tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
