ETL Test Engineer - Selenium/UFT

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Senior ETL Test Engineer with a strong background in ETL testing, technical analysis, and test engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation scripting, complex SQL queries, and experience in managing the testing phase of complex applications, particularly within the finance industry. This role demands a professional with a strong analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to work within Agile and Scaled Agile Framework environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform ETL testing, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability throughout the ETL processes.

- Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data for complex applications with relational databases.

- Utilize automation scripting tools (Selenium, UFT) to enhance testing efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and execute testing phases, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

- Act as a technical analyst, leveraging sound knowledge of Oracle DB to execute complex SQL queries for data validation.

- Apply Agile methodologies, including Scrum/Kanban, to facilitate and optimize testing processes.

- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide testing updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

- Document defects and manage them using JIRA, working towards timely resolutions in collaboration with development teams.

- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by proposing innovative solutions and automation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Minimum 6+ years of working experience in ETL testing and technical analysis.

- Sound knowledge of JIRA and automation scripting tools such as Selenium and UFT.

- Proficiency in Java programming and complex SQL query development within Oracle DB.

- Proven experience in testing and managing the testing phase of complex applications, particularly involving relational databases.

- Experience in the finance industry, ideally with 3+ years of relevant exposure.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Framework, and Scrum/Kanban delivery approaches.

- ISTQB Certified Test Analyst.

- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in performance testing and other non-functional testing areas.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
