Contracts Manager - EPC

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage the contractual aspects of our projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts to ensure project execution aligns with company goals and complies with legal requirements. This role demands expertise in contract management, legal frameworks, and dispute resolution, especially within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Review

• Draft, review, and finalize contracts for a wide range of projects, ensuring clarity and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain standard templates and terms to streamline the contract management process.

Negotiation and Stakeholder Management

• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related communications and clarifications.

Claims and Dispute Management

• Address and resolve claims, disputes, and other contractual issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to handle complex contractual matters and provide expert recommendations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of claims and dispute resolutions for future reference.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Monitor and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and legal standards across projects.
• Identify potential risks in contracts and propose risk mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry laws, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance.

Project Support and Coordination

• Work closely with project teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met during project execution.
• Provide guidance on interpreting contract terms and resolving issues arising during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in contract management, preferably in EPC or IIoT projects.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications such as CCCM (Certified Commercial Contracts Manager) or equivalent is an advantage.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and dispute resolution processes.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess risks and legal implications effectively.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts with multiple stakeholders.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex terms clearly.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with contract management software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
