Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced 3D Animator with a strong command of rigging, skinning, and dynamic animation techniques tailored to fast-paced games.
This role demands proficiency with industry-standard practices, tools, and an understanding of efficient workflows for high-performance animation across various platforms.
You will be creating compelling, detail-oriented realistic animations for characters, creatures, props, etc.
Animators must blend artistic vision with technical skills to enhance gameplay and storytelling.
You should also be willing to learn other parts of the 3D art pipeline.
You need to be flexible in iterating and improving your work based on review feedback.
Job Responsibilities :
3D Animation :
- Rigging and Skinning the characters with industry-standard
- Creating high-quality animations using keyframe techniques and motion capture data to animate characters and creatures, and environmental objects.
Asset Creation :
- Rigging characters and creating benchmark animations with a good sense of physics and realistic movements.
- Producing high quality character animations while meeting the deadlines.
Workflow Enhancement and Technology Adaptation :
- Improve animation workflows, troubleshoot production issues, iterate as needed, and adopt software upgrades to stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
Technical Requirement :
- Adapt to technical and engine requirements.
- Knowledge of film and animation genres, and ability to create within their styles is valuable
Collaboration and Reference Gathering :
- Liaising with animators, directors, and working with concepts or video references to understand project requirements.
Storyboard Transformation :
- Transform storyboards into fully animated sequences, bringing concepts to life.
Asset Management and Documentation :
- Organise and version controlling the files, manage asset libraries, and create clear documentation to support team efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills :
Experience :
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in animating human bipedal figures and organic forms.
Principles and workflows :
- Solid foundational animation skills(e.g, timing, weight, anticipation).
- Workflow to create industry standard and realistic Animations
Artistic Skills :
- Good understanding of human and creature anatomy is a must.
- Strong in fundamentals of Rigging and Skinning and Artistic eye with knowledge of anatomy, movement dynamics, and the ability to create realistic facial expressions
Software Proficiency :
- Expert proficiency with Maya or Blender, Motionbuilder and Game engine like unity and unreal.
Technical Skills :
- Experience in creating animations with motion capture technology and techniques.
- Practical knowledge of technical constraints and optimizations required in the game engine.
Feedback Incorporation :
- Should be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and iterating accordingly.
Adhering to Process :
- Self-review the animation with the principles and making them faster
- Ability to adapt to timelines and deliver outcomes accordingly.
New-age Skills :
- Knowledge of AI-driven tools and plugins that enhance animation workflows, enabling faster production times and increased accuracy and realisticness
