About the Opportunity:

Protiviti India is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our team working on a challenging and rewarding project for a Fortune 500 client in the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Java development principles and have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate and JPA. This role requires working from the client office in either Noida or Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications.
• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Work with relational databases and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and business analysts.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Java backend development.
• Strong understanding of Core Java concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework for building Microservices.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing Microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate ORM framework.
• Proficiency in using Java Persistence API (JPA).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
• Experience in the BFSI domain is a plus.

Selection Process:

The selection process will consist of the following stages:

1. Online Technical Coding Test: Candidates will be required to complete an online coding assessment to evaluate their technical skills.
2. Technical Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the online test will be invited for a technical interview.
