In this role, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for identifying regulatory challenges, fact finding and analyses, writing of policy notes, articles, papers, and reports and assisting team leads in implementing strategies to effectively engage with government departments and functionaries

Bachelors or Mastersin Economics/Statistics / Law/ Political Science/ Sociology/Public Policy/Public Administration or other relevant fields
Atleast two years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, law firm, government body, or political consulting firm
Excellent communication andpersuasion skills, including the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas in simple language
Fluency(spokenandwritten) in English and Hindi, and preferably one regional language
Experienceliasoning with government officials, systems, and processes is desirable
Excellentwriting and analytical capability
Proven government engagement skills including building high-trust relationships with officials, presentation and file management, and project management
Knowledge ofpublic administration, law, and public economics in India
Comfort withcoding,dataanalysis packages, cloud working, and new tech (LaTex, Python, Google, AI)
High level of flexibility and responsiveness to capitalise on opportunities

Your role tomorrow
Analyse law and regulation: Evaluate existing law and regulation from the perspective of economics, history, anthropology, political science, and common sense, track how states do rule-making, how centre-state dynamics work out, and identify best/average/worst practices between states and across countries
Work withdata: Survey literature and secondary data including governments administrative data and legal documents, and occasionally collect primary data through interviews with government officials, individuals, and experts
Write, write, write: Analyse, interpret, and present information through error-free, concise knowledge products for different audiences
Engage with government: Build long-term partnerships, engage officers at different levels in the administration, assist them in identifying impactful regulatory changes, and support them in the process of reform
Build and manage relationships: Engage with government and non-government partners without prompts, follow up immediately and thoroughly on promises, and figure out how to support reform champions
Stay up to date: Be on top of administrative and political changes, and identify policy challenges by talking with key informants and stakeholders and reading voraciously
Collaborate and disseminate: Engage/partner with advocacy organisations and industry bodies, share our recommendations at meetings, convenings, hearings, and events, and deliver presentations to government officials and other stakeholders
