Job Brief :

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring a team of engineers while also providing technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products. Your role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive the team towards achieving the company's objectives.

You will be responsible for :

- Strong Technical Focus and Leadership : Dive into challenging technical issues, guide the team to tackle ambitious problems, and ensure our efforts deliver high-value impact.

- Ownership and Development Best Practices : Take charge of maintaining and operating our team's services, implementing development best practices to foster the production of high-quality, well-architected, and sustainable code.

- Cross-Training and Feature Balance : Foster cross-training initiatives and maintain a healthy equilibrium between feature development and technical enhancements.

- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and offer guidance to senior contributors, maximizing their potential.

- Commercial Insight and Stakeholder Communication : Utilize your interpersonal skills and commercial acumen to ensure team members understand the impact of their work on product delivery. Also, provide estimates for delivery to stakeholders.

- Vision Alignment and Strategic Clarity : Clarify the team's vision, mission, and strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives to avoid wasted efforts.

- Cultivate a Culture of Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of continuous improvement through retrospection, encouraging the team to reflect on past experiences and strive for ongoing enhancement.

- Develop detailed project plans outlining key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.

Let's talk about your skills/expertise :

- Development/System Engineering Expertise : Preferred minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in developing complex systems, preferably across full stack.

- Proficiency with Angular, Node & Ionic.

- Strong knowledge of software development and engineering practices.

- Proficiency in technical problem-solving and project management.

- Understanding of code quality and system performance.

- Solve medium to complex technical problems.

- Manage engineering projects with moderate complexity.

- Collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

- Communicate effectively within the team and with other departments.
