Job Description
- The PMD Electrician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery across the facility.
- This role ensures that all electrical equipment functions safely and efficiently, reducing downtime and maintaining production quality.
- The PMD Electrician will also work closely with other maintenance and engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Requirements - Preventive Maintenance : Conduct regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, control panels, and wiring to ensure optimal performance and reduce breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting Repairs : Diagnose electrical issues in equipment, such as motors, switches, relays, and PLCs; perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Electrical Inspections : Inspect electrical systems and equipment regularly to identify potential problems and perform necessary corrective actions to avoid unexpected failures.
- Equipment Installation : Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new electrical equipment and machinery in alignment with operational requirements.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; update logs and create reports for management as required.
- Inventory Management : Monitor stock of electrical supplies and components, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
- Safety Compliance : Enforce adherence to electrical safety standards and protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
- Collaboration : Work closely with mechanical maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support operational needs and minimize downtime.
