Job Title: PostgreSQL Architect
Experience: 10 - 15 years
Location: Hyderabad
Fulfilment Type: Fulltime

Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements, migration goals, and timelines.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans for transitioning from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
Lead the assessment of current Oracle instances and design the target PostgreSQL architecture.
Oversee the implementation of migration tools and scripts.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, DBA, and QA teams throughout the migration process.
Ensure data integrity, performance, and security during and after the migration.
Identify and manage all interfacing points to the database, including applications, integration systems, and downstream systems.
Collaborate with application owners and integration teams to ensure seamless integration with the new PostgreSQL environment.
Coordinate and manage multiple teams, including internal teams and external vendors, to ensure project milestones are met.
Facilitate regular meetings and communication among team members to foster collaboration and address issues promptly.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and optimize database performance during and after the migration.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Provide training and support to teams on PostgreSQL best practices and usage.
Document migration processes, configurations, and procedures.
